Are you transitioning out of the Canadian Forces, and are looking to get into the Information Technology industry?
Are you a Canadian Forces veteran, or currently transitioning to a civilian life? I am a veteran, and wish I had better resources available to me when I completed my service.
Ironically after more than 10 years of being out of the service, I heard I could have got education paid for by Veterans Affairs, however at this point it was to late.
I’ve seen the odd online ad about veteran benefits from some education institutions, more so in the way of a discount for a program or degree, but that was it for years. Then I found WithYouWithMe (WYWM). They have a variety of programs in IT, Cybersecurity, Project Management, and more. The best part is they provide the courses for veterans and spouses for free, and will even help you find work.
I took the Cyber Defender Pathway in my spare time, and completed it in a few months. I was very happy with the course, assignments, labs, as well as the instructor, which I could book time with if I had any questions or issues during the course.
My experience was great, and am looking forward to taking many more courses. I highly recommend checking them out.
